Sinaloa is ready in case of outbreaks of Covid-19 derived from Carnival

MAZATLAN. – Governor Rubén Rocha Moya assured that in the event of an outbreak of Covid-19 due to the celebration of the International Carnival of Mazatlán 2022 ‘Lanao: The Journey Continues’, the health sector is prepared and that responsibility is assumed.

He expressed that they can no longer continue with the confinement, and they go with the firm idea of returning to normality.

On the other hand, he recognized that the State Secretary of Health, Héctor Melesio Cuén Ojeda, did not authorize the realization of the Carnival, but that the decision was in his hands, contemplating all the scenarios.

“The conditions are right to carry out the maximum party of the port, since 77 percent of Sinaloans have been vaccinated with their complete scheme,” said Rocha Moya.

He added that the variants that the virus has presented are no longer lethal, in addition to the fact that infections are going down as in other states that visit the port these days, originating from Durango, Chihuahua and Coahuila.
