A teacher from Xalapa was killed when she got out of her vehicle parked in front of the Ruiz Cortines elementary school in Veracruz, located in the Aguacatal neighborhood.
The murder was recorded by security cameras that show the moment when two people on a motorcycle approached and shot him several times before fleeing the scene.
According to the e-consulta media, the victim was Elizabeth N and was preparing to start her work as deputy director of the campus; her 7-year-old grandson witnessed the murder and was shot.
After the attack, the Veracruz Public Security Secretariat deployed the Red Code Operation to search for the alleged perpetrators and reported that the child was taken to a hospital for medical care.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Veracruz, Cuitláhuac García, condemned the incident and said that the security operation in the area is maintained.
“Justice will be done as has been done with many cases where we have guaranteed that there will be no impunity. There are indications that will allow us to find those responsible and we coordinate efforts with the FGE in order to specify their identification and whereabouts until they are brought to justice, ”he published.
The Veracruz Prosecutor’s Office initiated an investigation folder for the murder of the teacher and pointed out that prosecutors, ministerial police and experts carry out investigations to find out the causes and find those responsible.
According to data from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System, Veracruz accumulates 1,268 homicides until last August, as well as 49 femicides.
