With a participation of about 180 competitors of the entire state and Chihuahua next weekend will take place the first Municipal Swimming Cup IMDEC 2022.
Heriberto “Talisman” Garcia Osuna, as director of Municipal Institute of Sport and Physical Culture, announced that this cup was going to take place in the first week of September, however due to weather conditions, the organizing committee decided to postpone it until the end of the same, so that it is closer to the anniversary dates of the city of Culiacán.

He stressed that everything was to save the safety of all the competitors, since there will be the presence of exponents from Culiacán, Mazatlán, Los Mochis as well as a team from the largest state in the Mexican Republic.
“Due to the weather conditions that have prevailed in recent days in this city and in the state, in coordination with Civil Protection, we have made the decision to reschedule the event of the First Municipal Swimming Cup IMDEC 2022, which was going to take out this September 3 and 4. Now it is postponed for the 24th and 25th of the same month”, commented the director general of IMDEC.
“This is on the instructions of Mayor Arch. Juan de Dios Gámez Mendívil, where the most important will always be the physical integrity and health of the athletes, that is why we have taken that measure, so as not to expose them on their trip to this city, he added “Talisman” Garcia.
So far there are more than 180 swimmers registered for this event, including from the locality, from other municipalities, as well as from the state of Chihuahua.
