For “talking” about La Familia Michoacana they kidnap journalists in Guerrero;  they exhibit them chained

 

México CITY (appro).- Two men appear handcuffed; the image is an unprecedented event for the history of journalism in México. Members of the news portal team Escenario Calentano in Guerrero They report that they are “paying for the consequences of the publications” they make against La Familia Michoacana. Since December 27 of last year, relatives have reported the disappearance of Alan García Aguilar, Fernando Moreno Villegas and Jesús Pintor Alegre.

In the recording that was uploaded to the news site’s Facebook account, Alan García Aguilar and Fernando Moreno Villegas appear seated while handcuffed and barefoot. During the 41 seconds that the video lasts, the fear on their faces is remarkable. This is the latest information we have on them.

“We are part of the Escenario Calentano team, we are here paying the consequences of the publications that were made against these people, and different people from the Tierra Caliente region of the State of México, Michoacán and Guerrero”, says Moreno Villegas while looking at the camera.

The recording was released with the caption: “so that they can see that sooner or later we find the culeros and so that they can see that it is true, we are going to publish this video from their page.”

The last publication of Escenario Calentano referred to José Alfredo Hurtado Olascoaga, alias “El Fresa”, identified as one of the main leaders of La Familia Michoacana. So far the whereabouts of the members of the news portal are unknown.

Although Jesús Pintor Alegre does not appear in the images, he is reported missing. Pintor Alegre was a correspondent for La Jornada Guerrero a sister newspaper of La Jornada, in addition to collaborating with local print media.

For its part, the Human Rights Commission of the State of Guerrero (CDHEDG) regretted the illegal deprivation of liberty of the three men and demanded that the authorities carry out the investigations to find them alive.

In just 10 days of 2023, this is the second aggression registered against employees or people related to the media. The first assault was registered in Sinaloa during the operation to capture Ovidio “El Ratón” Guzmán, a member of the Cartel de Sinaloa and son of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, when the theft of four journalists’ cars was documented, one of which was burned, five thefts of work equipment, including two computers, two cell phones, and some headphones; in addition to several threats with firearms.
