Rector of the UAS invites high school graduates from all over Sinaloa to the Professional Exhibition, from January 23 to February 15

The 17th Professional Exhibition of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS) that will provide more than 60,000 high school students with information that allows them to choose their professional career and with it their life project, and was inaugurated by the Rector, Dr. Jesús Madueña Molina.

In the Augusto César Sandino Preparatory Academic Unit, this event began that will take place from January 23 to February 15 throughout the state, and for this purpose, the stands of the schools and faculties of the UAS were placed so that professional students can publicize to high school students the 184 degree programs and the four Higher Technical University (TSU) programs that make up the educational offer of Casa Rosalina through this program that was institutionalized during the rectorship of teacher Héctor Melesio Cuén Ojeda, from the hand of the current general director of Social Communication, engineer Arnoldo Valle Leyva, who to this day continues with this work.

“In our families and in our society there are two questions that our children and young people are asked: What do you want to be when you grow up? And do you already know what you are going to study? (…) for many the answer is simple because they have a clear vocation, for others that decision is more difficult, so it is necessary to guide them so that they make one of the most important decisions in their lives, which is their professional career and that It will guide you throughout your life”, said the Rector, detailing that in addition to UAS students, all high school subsystems are invited to attend.

“Because of the magnitude of all the effort, I want to express my appreciation to the professional level students who will serve as advisors for high school youth, to the directors and teachers and vocational counselors,” he said and also thanked the parents who They are joining this activity for the first time because they are a pillar in the decision that their children will make in the coming weeks.

The Rector informed that at the end of February the UAS will offer more than 50,000 pre-registration forms and that every effort will be made so that all those who comply with the process have space in their classrooms; and informed the students and parents present that 95 careers are recognized for their quality and that a broad campaign will soon be launched so that the UAS 2022 Educational Model has an impact on all study programs and in all schools of the institution.

For his part, the director of the high school, teacher Julio César Herrera, praised the presence of parents for supporting their children in the decision to choose a career, while the student Bianca Nayeli Valenzuela Gastélum, from the Faculty of Accounting and Administration, on behalf of the students who participate in the stands and in the organization of the event, thanked the trust given and the institutional support to develop the Exhibition carried out with great effort and dedication.

On behalf of the parents, Mrs. Blanca Elda Domínguez Cárdenas, pointed out that the choice of a professional career is one of the most important in children because it marks the beginning of a better future for them, for this reason she recognized the Rector to carry out this event organized in coordination by the General Directorates of Social Communication, High Schools and the Student Service Center (CAE).

At the same time that the Professional Exhibition was developed, a Meeting with Parents was held to talk about “Assertive Communication for a Professional Life Project” where they are given the tools to better communicate with their children when choosing the career to study
