CULIACÁN._ With irrigation to combat low temperatures in crops, the Government of Sinaloa will seek to counteract the effects of possible frosts that reach the state, reported Rubén Rocha Moya.
“We have water, fortunately. It is a thermal attenuator, the water moistens the earth and absorbs the cold; it is better for the water to absorb it and not the plant”, said the Governor.
According to what was stated by the Secretary of Agriculture of Sinaloa Jaime Montes Salas, irrigation in crops works as an element to protect crops from low temperatures.
This weekend he entered Sinaloa the fourth winter storm of the season, which could cause frost in the entity.
“It is the producers who give us food, this is an important issue,” said Rocha Moya.
