México CITY.- Brazil and Argentina announced their intention to have a common currency that will bear the name of “El Sur”, in honor of South America, according to information released by the Financial Times.

This monetary union will be the second most important, as reported by the media of British origin.

The project aims to unite more Latin American countries, although the currency would only be used for international trade.

Therefore, the Argentine peso and the Brazilian real will continue to function only in their country.
