Homicides in México totaled 88 on Monday, January 30, 2023

The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSyPC) reported that so far in January there have been 2,236 intentional homicides, and this Monday they registered 88 crimes in the country with the state of Baja California leading the list.

This Monday morning the murder of two men was reported in central neighborhoods of the municipality of Tijuana, after a direct attack, according to the Municipal Police. The men were found inside a home. and for this reason, emergency services arrived to try to support the victims, however, they were confirmed dead.

In the afternoon, a man was murdered in the Galerías Hipódromo parking lot, plaza located on Boulevard Agua Caliente, in Tijuana. According to the first reports, the victim received bullet wounds that caused her death immediately.

Other states that recorded homicides were Chihuahua and Zacatecas with seven; State of México and Guanajuato six; New Lion five; México City, Jalisco, Puebla, Quintana Roo, Sonora and Tamaulipas four; Colima, Morelos, Oaxaca, Sinaloa and Veracruz three; Chiapas and Michoacan with two; while Aguascalientes, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Nayarit, San Luis Potosi and Tabasco one.
