Two elements of the National Guard died and four more were injured after the patrol in which they were traveling was rammed by the freight train.
The fatal accident occurred in Celaya, Guanajuato.
Local media reported that the events occurred at the height of the Las Américas neighborhood, at the intersection of Francisco Juárez avenue and Central Railway.

Witnesses from the place told the media that the patrol tried to get past the train, without success, so it took the vehicle, causing the fatal accident.

The officers who lost their lives were identified as Carlos de Jesús Basilio and Antonio Iván Martínez.
Until now, the identity of the other 4 injured elements has not been revealed, they were transferred to hospitals in the city, without their condition being known.
The site was guarded by the Mexican Army and the National Guard, and the corresponding authorities will carry out the investigation to determine the causes of the incident.
