‘The worst alliance with crime is to give them hugs’; Fox reacts to AMLO’s statements about Genaro García Luna

Former president Vicente Fox Quesada attacked President Andrés Manuel López Obrador when ruling on the verdict against the former Secretary of Security, Genaro García Luna, and remembering the time that the current head of the federal Executive greeted the mother of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán .

In his morning conference this Wednesday, at the National Palace, López Obrador spoke about the guilty plea to Garcia Luna, for which he pointed out that this is part of the decadence that México was experiencing.

Through his social networks, former president Fox Quesada recalled the moment when López Obrador had a meeting with María Consuelo Loera Pérez, mother of “El Chapo” Guzmán in his visit to Badiraguato, Sinaloa birthplace of the capo imprisoned in the United States.

“He hugged his mother in Badiraguato… protect (sic) and save Cienfuegos from American justice…”, Fox wrote.

He also noted that “The worst alliance with crime is to give them hugs and greet them in their burrows” referring to the event between the president and the mother of the leader of the Cartel de Sinaloa.
