The Culiacán Transit Directorate called on the public to consider alternative routes during this March 8 due to the mobilizations prepared for the commemoration of International Women’s Day.
According to the dependency, there is only one notice of mobilization, which will be in La Lomita around 08:00 hours; however. Through social networks, the start of concentrations at 4:00 p.m. has been announced.
“They have informed me that a deployment is coming out where tomorrow, around 3:30 in the afternoon there will be a march, we do not have official information about it but we are preparing. Our function is to give them security in any type of event so that they do not cause any injury to the pedestrian at that moment”, pointed out the Director of the Road and Traffic Unit, José Luis Torres Valdez.
“You have to take alternate routes, we need to take alternate routes at that time.”
The itinerary of the concentration of the Sinaloan Altered Feminists movement has circulated on social networks, which includes a march along Álvaro Obregón avenue.
The concentration will begin in La Lomita at 3:30 p.m., to march towards the Cathedral of Culiacán at 4:00 p.m.
At 5:00 p.m., after arriving at Plazuela Obregón, families in search of justice will take the microphone to share testimonies, as well as all those girls, young people and adults who want to express painful experiences due to gender issues.
