Mayor Edgar González explained that Rafael Mendoza was removed during the extraordinary session number 20.

In extraordinary session number 21, Councilors of the Cabildo approved by a qualified majority the proposal presented by Mayor Edgar González for the appointment of Verenice Oleta Benítez to the position of Secretary of the City Council.

During the meeting, the Municipal President informed the ediles of the resignation presented as Chief Officer of Verenice Oleta who took the oath to attend to the task that was granted to him by the Municipal Government.

“He is a person they know, who has been working in the Mayor’s Office, for that reason we propose the citizen Verenice Oleta Benítez,” he commented.

Previously, in the extraordinary session number 20 held this Friday in the Cabildo Hall, the former official Rafael Mendoza Zatarain was removed from the position as Secretary of the Mazatlán City Council.
