They locate the bodies of missing fishermen from Ahome

CULIACÁN, SIN.- Sea workers reported the discovery of a boat with bodies in a visible state of decomposition in the beaches of Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán.

Due to the characteristics of the people and the registration of the boat, it was concluded that they are the two fishermen from the municipality of Ahome who disappeared 35 days ago.

The fishermen who discovered the boat reported the situation to the port captaincy of Lazaro Cardenas and to the authorities of the naval forces, who notified the port authorities of the state.

Mario Cosme Gallardo, coordinator of Civil Protection of Ahome, reported that they contacted the port and naval authorities of said Michoacán to collate data on the sailors who disappeared after setting sail to capture sharks in the Farallon area, on February 14.

The fishing workers who were missing for more than a month are Blas García Valenzuela, 58, and José María Velázquez Félix, 43, residents of the Colorado fishing camp.

The fishermen’s records indicate that they left the post on the morning of Tuesday, February 14, with adverse weather conditions with a lot of wind from north to south in the area known as El Farallón, in the Sea of ​​Cortez; later their relatives and colleagues lost communication with them.

After notifying the fact to the Eighth Naval Zone and Civil Protection, overflights were made to find their whereabouts; however, the operations did not give good results.
