CULIACÁN._ The President of México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, will visit Sinaloa this Saturday for a works inspection tour, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya confirmed.
It will be this April 1 when the President visits the Santa María Dam, located in Rosario.
According to information from the Ministry of the Interior, the President would come to Sinaloa the last hours of Friday, to start a tour on Saturday first thing in the morning and return to México City that same day.
At the moment, it has been established that the President only travels through the south of the entity.
This information was also exposed by López Obrador himself in his morning press conference.
“We are going to supervise the branches of Banco del Bienestar, we are also going to evaluate the Santa María Dam in the south of Sinaloa”, he highlighted.
SANTA MARÍA DAM, STOPPED FOR TWO DAYS
Last week, due to demonstrations by community members, work on the Santa María Dam was halted for two days.
The demonstration began on March 20 due to non-compliance with community members in actions for compensation, housing construction, among others, reported Jesús Arnoldo Santiago Uribe.
“By agreement taken in the assembly (on Sunday) we are going to stop, transport will not go up or down, it is due to the government’s non-compliance with the requests we have made to them,” said the president of the Communal Property of Santa María.
On March 22, the community members withdrew while waiting for a meeting time with Governor Rubén Rocha Moya.
