Delfina Gómez, candidate for governor of the State of México for Morena Green Party and PT, is scheduled to attend the two debates organized by the Electoral Institute of the State of México (IEEM), although her team hopes that Alejandra del Moral will come to hit her.
The special delegate of Morena In the State of México, Higinio Martínez Miranda, commented in an interview that the PAN, PRI, PRD and Nueva Alianza alliance wants 20,000 debates because they have nothing to do in the municipalities, since their candidate attends highly controlled events, before the manifest rejection that exists towards the PRI in the entity.
Higinio Martínez warned that a black campaign has been orchestrated against Delfina Gómez and actors from Morenaand in a debate their opponents will only seek to hit them, but for now they have agreed to attend.
“We know that going to a debate is to intensify what is already seen to be a black campaign that is taking place in several places in Nezahualcóyotl, on the networks, in several places that black campaign is taking place, and that it is not The people of the PRI tell me that they are oblivious to it.
“If there is a black campaign against the teacher Delfina, against some of us, against Horacio Duarte, against yours truly, against Mario Delgado, it is obvious that this black campaign tries to favor them. So we cannot trust ourselves, we know that in a debate they are going to hit, they are going to hit, but the teacher Delfina is going to go,” he said.
He warned that they will seek to create conditions of equity, but they cannot prevent their adversary from saying what they want, since they have the right to attack, lie and slander, while the teacher, he pointed out, will go to make their proposals.
We hope that the agreements reached at the IEEM for the debate will be respected.
When questioned about the possibility that they do not see fair conditions for the debates to take place, he said that day by day they will measure the actions of the electoral authorities and he said that the institute is obliged to organize two debates, but no law obliges them to the people who are eligible to attend.
“We will measure and continue to measure the steps that are taken. We have agreed to attend the debate, but everything can change,” he said. In fact, he warned her, they have a high level of distrust towards the electoral authorities.
“We do not have absolute confidence in the electoral authorities, there is a high level of mistrust, what they have to demonstrate with their actions is that they are really going to seek respect for the popular will; all the work of the IEEM people, of the INE, of the courts, it has to do with respecting the citizen’s vote, that is what is important.
“We will be measuring it, for now, due to these actions (sanctions that have been issued to morenistas) its performance continues to leave much to be desired, but we hope that it will be the weight of civil society, of public opinion, and at the time of us, what they do who have to follow the path of legality, is the only thing we ask of all the electoral authorities”.
He anticipated that in the following days more political actors from other parties will join the project of the teacher Delfina Gómez and justified that these adhesions occur because people want a change in the entity.
