Regional Mexican singer-songwriter and producer Gerardo Ortiz has released his new single and music video “ Los Envidiosos” , which is the third single from his highly anticipated album, “ No Tengo Rival”.
The video for “Los Envidiosos”, directed by Pablo Croce, was filmed in Los Angeles. Croce is a well-qualified filmmaker with extensive experience from his celebrated and award-winning music video career. This brief but fruitful association was inevitable.
In this video, a peppy and charismatic Ortiz is seen dressed entirely in black, led by his wardrobe essential, the black hat. Featuring catchy lyrics with Gerardo’s prominent voice and tightly tuned acoustic guitar , this corrido is headed for great success in the music industry. It could easily be considered an instant classic simply for what it delivers musically, original music and lyrics with plenty to talk about.
No Tengo Rival is scheduled to be released this coming July, on this album, it’s obvious that Ortiz continues to immerse himself in what he loves best, singing and performing what he so skillfully creates with his musical writings.
