Mazatlán. – From Russia, South Africa, Germany, Chile, Colombia and 55 other countries will be visiting Mazatlán for Milset: Expociencias Internacional 2023, which brings together more than a thousand girls, boys and adolescents with innovative projects aimed at science.
Rodrigo Hidalgo Díaz, general coordinator of the National Network of Youth Activities in Science and Technology, mentioned that only the best projects will come to introduce you to the “Pearl of the Pacific”, in a series of activities where opinions, experiences and, above all, will be exchanged. , cultural aspects among its participants.

“Mazatlán is ready to receive the event from October 21 to 27 at the Mazatlán International Center, what was missing? To have a headquarters especially and the countries are ready to attend… our scientific and technologist guys will be able to give their best in these projects”, he commented.
Expociencia, he explained, is divided into different branches; Biological and health sciences; Exact and applied sciences; Environment and ecosystems, Engineering; Computer science and robotics application; and Social sciences and knowledge.
During the exhibition there will be conferences, workshops, debates, but also an exhibition of the projects of each participating delegation and it will be open to the public for those who seek to learn about each of the projects.
The director of Gran Acuario Mazatlán Mar de Cortés, Rafael Lizárraga Favela, explained that the facilities of this new tourist attraction will be part of the Expociencia headquarters, and the participants will be able to meet it, learn about the operation of an aquarium and know the experience of working in a place that is also for dissemination and scientific research.
“For us as a Great Aquarium it is important to receive them and not as an experience but with an agenda where they will participate in the training, from how an aquarium works, what is the life support equipment, how the specialists work, how the biologists and the processes of science and technology”, he said.
Milset: Expociencias Internacional 2023 has been held for 36 years, the first edition was held in 1987, in Canada, since then it is an event that has traveled different parts of the world such as Moscow, Russia; Pretoria, South Africa; Santiago, Chile, and Texas, United States. Last year it was held in the United Arab Emirates and this year it will be in Mazatlán.
The event will be at the Convention Center, from October 21 to 27 and will be open to the public.
