Nuevo León, very close to being the world hub of electromobility: Samuel García

MONTERREY.- The first edition of America’s Mobility of the Future arrives in Nuevo León, which will have the participation of more than 30 leading companies specialized in electric and intelligent mobility.

The event will address issues of infrastructure, sustainability and cutting-edge technology in front of more than 1,500 visitors.

State Governor Samuel García shared that with the arrival of Tesla and other largest technology manufacturing companies and service providers in the world, “Nuevo León reaffirms itself as the next global electromobility hub.”

“We are in the sights of the world, with the Tesla investment the largest factory on the planet will be built in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León and with this we will become the next world electromobility hub; On June 6 and 7, the Hannover electromobility event will be held for the first time in Latin America in the capital of our state, Monterrey,” said the governor.

The event will take place on June 6 and 7 at Cintermex.

In Nuevo León, 37 projects from the automotive industry have been confirmed, and of these, close to 50% are electromobility, which position the entity as a benchmark in this area.

The State Secretary of Economy, Iván Rivas, said that electromobility is one of the most representative sectors of Industry 4.0, which is coming to Nuevo León thanks to the fact that we have the most prepared human capital in the country, as well as the network of most important infrastructure in the region.

America’s Mobility of the Future will feature high-level representatives and panelists such as: Sven Beiker, Founder and Director of Silicon Valley Mobility; Thomas Uhr, Director of Technology at BRP; Reuben Sarkar, President and CEO of the American Center for Mobility; and Alan Taub, Director of the Michigan Materials Research Institute.
