Escuinapa, Sin.- The scarcity of hostels and spaces where being able to live is a problem who are faced with families of migrant day laborers who year after year come to work for more than six months at the agricultural fields of the area of the Escuinapa valley.

The actual production season is already on its last legs, so most of these families have already returned to their places of origin or have migrated to other parts of the country in job search.

Pedro Gomez Diaz, who is one of the producers in this area of the state, stresses that despite being an area of high spicy production, which was recognized at the national level, there is no hostels enough for these people.

We are short on shelters, in fact it is public knowledge that we do not have, it is a necessity that the valley is requiring for these people to come, have a decent space to spend with their families all those months that are here working with us“.

He added that as producers they do not ask the government that I give them money for work, but that he does offer his hand on this issue that is of social sense.

“If we get together agreement between government and producers, we can deal with these problems, because we have spaces where these shelters can be built, but It is also up to the Government to file an appeal, It is a matter of social sense, where we are going to give people a space to live“.

It should be remembered that currently, there is only one functional shelter that has capacity for 70 families and there is another built space which has not been put into operation.
