In an event attended by officials from the health sector, the Government of Sinaloa delivered support from external cochlear implant processors, hearing aids, and mobility aids to children and young people with disabilities.

The delivery event was held at the Maria del Rosario Espinoza Gymnasium, which was headed by Governor Rubén Rocha Moya.

The processors that were delivered consist of updating the software with which the cochlear implants of the benefited boys and girls work.

“We are here to help you, help you all. Right now we are putting implants in little children, just like they did with you, it doesn’t cost them anything and I don’t want any to remain without being put in,” said the Governor.

“We are 33, we are going to do it to all of them. How much does the implant cost us, between 300 and 500 thousand, if there are 33, it would cost me 17 and a half million more or less, 16 and a half. I prefer not to build a road and better implant the children”.

The state president was accompanied by Adrián Benítez Ruiz, General Director of the Public Charity Assets Administration and Cuitláhuac González Galindo, Secretary of Health.

Benítez Ruiz pointed out that the National Public Charity has the objective of reaching those who do not have social security. The efforts of the entity have allowed that between January 2019 and July 2023, Sinaloans will be helped with 9,821 supports in health, with an investment of more than 28 million pesos.

In addition, he highlighted the in-kind support delivery days, consisting of 387 supports for 483 Sinaloans, who received functional inputs in hearing aids, frame glasses, wheelchairs and walkers, among others, which represents an investment of 7 million 943 thousand pesos completely free of charge for the beneficiaries.

“It is about strong actions and not just words. Today in Culiacán and tomorrow in Mazatlán, in coordination with the State Government, we will be delivering more than 890 health supports for free, for the benefit of 673 Sinaloans in a state of vulnerability in terms of health, with an estimated investment of more than 9 million pesos”, stated the General Director of Public Charity.

Finally, González Galindo thanked Public Charity for providing this type of aid for the benefit of those who need it most.

This meeting was also attended by Eneyda Rocha Ruiz, President of the DIF System Sinaloa; Juan de Dios Gámez Mendívil, Municipal President of Culiacán; Irma Nydia Gazca Aldama, President of the Culiacán DIF System; Alma Rosa López López, General Director of Public Charity of Sinaloa and the young Naomy Margarita Ríos Cruz, representing the beneficiaries.
