CULIACÁN._ Support for the primary sectors and a reduction in violence against women of more than 50 percent were some of the actions that Governor Rubén Rocha Moya presented as achievements in the presentation of his Second Work Report.
The State President said that on the issue of reducing violence against women, this statistic was analyzed in relation to previous governments.
In his report, the Governor outlined a 53.7 percent reduction in intentional homicides of women and femicides compared to the three previous administrations.
On the other hand, he celebrated a legislative achievement, saying that now the law allows the State to remove the aggressor from the home, in order to prevent femicides.
In support of the agricultural sector, Rocha Moya showed off the corn and wheat marketing plan that was carried out with Segalmex.
“Never in my life has a state government bought corn. We have bought 700 thousand tons, and we got the federal government to buy one million tons from us,” he mentioned.
However, the state leader admitted that it has not been possible to finalize a strategy to support farmers.
“We must admit that we have not been able to find a way to market the grain,” he said.
In his speech he reiterated that Sinaloa It is the only state with a state program of economic support for fishermen, since the state Bienpesca helps 32 thousand fishermen.
