Accountants envision a complicated 2024 full of challenges in the economy

Mazatlán. – 2024 looks challenging and expectations for México look difficult, and the country will soon be in the electoral process to elect a new president, while the global environment is becoming more unpredictable every day.

These are the conclusions reached by the experts from the College of Public Accounting Professionals of the South of Sinaloa who point out that although growth is expected, it will not reach the desired levels, with obstacles such as the political issue, geopolitical changes, rising prices and even the political crisis.

During their meeting for the ninth anniversary of the school’s creation, its members commented that the ghost of Covid-19 and, of course, external factors such as the wars in Ukraine and Gaza are still present.

Within the framework of its ninth anniversary, the College of Public Accounting Professionals of the South of Sinaloa carried out the change of the board of directors for the next period 2024-2025. With an emotional event, Quinardo García Acevedo handed over the presidency of this organization to Andrés Ultreras Rodríguez.

“Without a doubt the intention is to create our own scientific journal where papers can be presented, our congress that we are going to have next year, which will be the tenth anniversary, we will carry out with presentations of scientific articles and that will culminate in a publication “, highlighted the new leader.

Ultreras Rodríguez expressed that the federal government agencies that have to do with taxes do not fall into “fiscal terrorism”, if they approach it and there are taxpayers who feel harassed and harassed.

He mentioned that they hope that during 2024 what the federal government and the Treasury call the differentiated VAT will be clarified.

“We don’t know how the SAT intends to apply it.”

Recognitions

At the ceremony, the school recognized the most outstanding members for the work done throughout the year, their contributions to the school itself, as well as the future professionals who are in the preparation stage.

Ilse Denisse García Salas received the award as Youth Accountant 2023; José Ángel Cortés Sandoval was honored as Teacher of the Year; Martina de Jesús Pardo Loaiza was recognized as Distinguished Accountant for her Lifetime Achievement, while Juan Enrique Velázquez Barraza was considered the Distinguished Accountant of the Year.
