CHICOLOAPAN.- “They say I won’t be able to, I accept the challenge, I’m tired of it, that we are going to leave behind a health system that is one of the best in the world. I’m working”.

This is what the president of México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, said today, in the face of what he considered a challenge from his adversaries: before the end of his term he will leave the health system as one of the best in the world.

During the supervision of the Welfare programs, from this municipality in the State of México, the president asserted that several of his opponents point out that he will not be able to fulfill that promise, to which he responded yes, because he will dedicate more time to it. to the issue for the remainder of his mandate.

“Before I finish, the health centers, the rural medical units, the hospitals will have new equipment, there will be general doctors, there will be specialists, medical care, studies, interventions. “Surgeries, medicines will not be lacking, everything will be free.”

On December 29 of last year, during the inauguration of the “megapharmacy” in Huehuetoca, López Obrador said that it was painful for him that relatives of children with cancer asked him for medicines for the treatment of their children and that there were protests due to the shortage; He accused that the protesters were hired for this campaign against him.

“Most of the people hired for that purpose, right? With posters asking me for medicines for their children with cancer. Look how painful it is for anyone, especially for an authority who is being complained about everywhere, that’s how they brought me,” she said.

During the same event, the head of the Executive pointed out that the problem of medicine shortages was related to corruption in the purchase and distribution of medicines, since about 200 billion pesos were spent on the purchase of medicines and equipment.

During the event, the president also reproached opposition politicians for their criticism of the “megapharmacy” and the scheme with which it will operate.
