Let’s clean the Island!! It is everyone’s task: Juan Alfonso Mejía

-«By greeting and cleaning we advance further»

In the midst of a festive and very energetic atmosphere, the candidate for federal deputy for the Force and Heart for México coalition, Juan Alfonso Mejía, walked the streets of the populous Isla de la Piedra greeting its inhabitants and giving him a cat’s hand with brigades that They raised tons of garbage, which denotes the lack of collection in almost the entire settlement.

During his tour, the candidate of the PRI, PAN and PRD listened to the local residents who, like in almost all of his tours, picked up on the concern of abandonment that they express on the part of the authorities.

“They told us that there were seven million pesos to align and ballast the streets, but we never saw a single machine doing the work and the money, so who knows where it was. We have sulphated lights and a colony: Isla Paraíso has been without water or electricity for 8 years, imagine what the 72 families who live there are experiencing. “We are in a tourist area, so why do they have us so abandoned?” mentioned a resident of this ejido.

Beach vendors complained that restaurateurs do not allow them to sell seafood in tostitos, which affects more than 15 people who cannot bring food home.

Amid this string of complaints, Juan Alfonso promised to address the priorities of this and other neighborhoods from Congress: “The function of a deputy is to obtain the resources for the works that are required in the city, but also his function is to fulfill and not just promise. They say that promising does not impoverish you, but I am sure it does, because it impoverishes the trust of those who listen to you,” the neighbors who gathered in the green area of the place mentioned before.

Those who listened to him delivered a document stating the priorities of the ejido, which Juan Alfonso signed with the commitment to return to address each of the requests.

“I am going to return, have no doubt about that,” the candidate concluded.
