Mazatlán Public Security rejects deprivation of family freedom

The Secretary of Public Security of Mazatlán, Jaime Barrón Valdez, stated that the report that was captured on the emergency lines, regarding the alleged deprivation of liberty of seven members of a family, in the Mazatlán Uno neighborhood, was negative.

He announced that last Friday, a call to the emergency lines reported an alleged “uprising” of an entire family, on Gaviotas Street, in said neighborhood, so when he went to verify the facts, it was confirmed that it was false. the report.

The municipal official stated that even elements of the State Attorney General’s Office came to validate the information, without finding concrete indications or data that validated the events that had been reported.

Gerardo Mérida Sánchez, Secretary of Public Security of the State, alerted the population about false versions that are spread on social networks, about alleged “family uprisings” in the city of Mazatlán.

He commented that a report was verified, whose address is non-existent, which is why he urged citizens not to disclose data that has no basis.
