Migrant day laborers crowd the beaches of Escuinapa – El Sol de Mazatlán


Escuinapa, Sin.- The Las Cabras beach in Escuinapa was packed with dozens of families from migrant day laborers those who took advantage of the days off Easter week.

These families are the ones who provide their labor in the agricultural fields of the valley area for cutting the vegetables, chilies, tomatoes and other products they harvest in the region.

The majority of these families reside temporarily in the receivership of the Forest Island from where they go to work every day.

These days of holiday, the agricultural fields looked practically alone, since work was suspended due to the Easter week.

The families took advantage of the proximity of the Las Cabras beach to go and enjoy the days of rest, who walked around two kilometers to be able to get from their homes to the beach.

Women carrying their traditional clothing with long skirts and colorful blouses, while the men with their boots and hats on the seashore.
