Mazatlán._ With the arrival of afternoon and night, this Good Friday began the exodus of thousands of bathers from the beaches of Mazatlán to their homes or lodging places.

Although vehicular traffic also increased in sections of the tourist promenade, this Friday it was not necessary to close Avenida del Mar to vehicular traffic during the day as in previous years.

It was shortly before 6:00 p.m. when the thousands of people who came to the beaches to enjoy the sea, food and drinks, and of course banda music, began to leave from Isla de la Piedra to Punta Cerritos.

For this Friday, Mayor Édgar González Zataráin stated that after Holy Thursday there was an influx of between 48,000 and 50,000 people on the beaches, for this Good Friday an influx of between 80,000 and 100,000 bathers was expected.

Although the beaches were busier than on Thursday, until around 3:00 p.m. this Friday, staff from the Municipal Civil Protection Coordination reported an influx of about 26 thousand people, but they continued arriving at those places to enjoy the present. holiday period.

Some people have already gone to rest, but many more will continue the party throughout the night and into the early hours of tomorrow.

This Holy Saturday will be the last day of Holy Week, but the influx of visitors will continue in this port for Easter Week and on Monday, April 8 for the Solar Eclipse in Mazatlán.
