Mazatlán.- The promise of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to pay 7 million pesos per ton of corn is a finger-pointing for producers because it was never fulfilled, said the Senator for the PRI, Mario Zamora Gastélum

“There are the videos of President Andrés Manuel where he says that they were going to pay 7 thousand pesos for corn, now is when, if not when, but people are not stupid.

“It is a deception, it is giving more atole with the finger… but the people are going to have the opportunity, on June 2, with their vote, to throw this good-for-nothing government away since they are hitting the countryside in the tower ”.

Mario Zamora Gastelum
Senator for the PRI

Interviewed during Xóchitl Gálvez’s visit to Mazatlán, Zamora Gastélum showed his empathy and solidarity with corn producers in Sinaloa.

He criticized the current product purchasing model that the Federal Government seeks to implement with the State Government, which has caused the corn growers to demonstrate at the toll booths.

The Senator pointed out as disastrous what is happening in the field of Sinaloa and with the price per ton that they are offering to producers.

Zamora Gastélum explained that Corn coverage should be purchased in the months of January or February when costs are at another level.

But currently Segalmex is playing an opaque and corrupt role by having a price that does not convince producers.

He assured that the warehouses are still full and priceless, which they consider a tragedy if it is not attended to as it is due to the Sinaloan countryside.
