Vehicle theft, business robbery, are some of the crimes committed.
Up to four robberies in different forms are recorded daily in Mazatlán, reported the Municipal Public Security Secretary, Jaime Barrón Valdez.
He assured, without specifying figures, that there have been people arrested for these crimes.
“Normally, we are between three, four daily events of different kinds, vehicle theft, business robbery, breach of trust, that’s how the incidence is managed,” he said.
The official pointed out that the criminal incidence, in general, has remained within the normal range, sometimes it spikes, but “not by much.”
Barrón Valdez added that they are fine-tuning the details of the security operation for the electoral day on June 2nd.
He added that on that day there will be preventive tours of the places where the polling stations are set up without staying too long so that it is not misinterpreted that there is an intervention.
