Mazatlán.- Mazatlán today has more capable firefighters, and for 4 days, volunteers participated in a 40-hour training course that included experiential and theoretical learning with experts from Tijuana.
The participants were trained in crane rescue and firefighter survival, two core points that are in line with the vertical and demographic growth of Mazatlán.

The commander of the corporation, Saúl Robles Chávez, highlighted that there were 40 hours of training by the shift chief of the Tijuana Fire Department, José Gerardo Cerón Terán
He considered it important that the firefighters in Mazatlán were part of this course, since the new tools acquired are essential for the growth of the corporation and above all to be able to provide better tools to citizens.
“This course was intended to update rescue techniques using the same tower cranes, to speed up and give priority to the lives of victims who may be in danger.”

“The second issue is the survival of the firefighter, since this issue also comes from the growth of the city since we face more fires with new technology buildings.”
In addition to Cerón Terán, course instructors were Rafael Carrillo and deputy director Pedro Perfecto, who showed the new forms of rescue, so that as firefighters we can be ready for the new challenges required.
Before coming to implement this course, the Tijuana Firefighters took these trainings in California and Nevada, and with more than 17 years in the service in Tijuana, they now seek to transmit their knowledge to the Buenos Aires firefighters.

Robles Chávez added that the commitment to this knowledge is to establish it immediately as a work protocol.
The commander thanked the Board of Administration, headed by President Lourdes Magallón, for their unconditional support with the operation, so that this course was possible.
