*Governor Rocha delivered the first resources to the 316 Health and Welfare Committees, made up of citizens
Simultaneously, through a link with the morning conference of the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, held from the National Palace, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya launched Sinaloa the “La Clínica es Nuestra” program, through which 161 million 400 thousand pesos will be allocated to 316 Health and Wellness Committees made up of citizens in the same number of urban and rural Health Centers, resources that will be managed directly by these committees to improve infrastructure, acquire medical equipment and furniture for said medical units.
From very early in the morning, at six in the morning from the Oscar Liera auditorium of the Theater of the Mexican Institute of Social Security, Governor Rocha participated, like seven other state leaders from the rest of the country, in the conference of the president of México, to launch this federal program, similar to the School is Ours Program, since the resources are also managed directly by citizens, without bureaucracies or intermediaries, but through a committee made up of neighbors, who are the ones who decide the way of apply them for the proper functioning of their Health Centers, as well as in schools.
In his message at the national level, the state governor highlighted the progress of the federalization of the health system in Sinaloa undertaken by President López Obrador, and which now adds another aspect, such as transparency in the management of public resources through citizen committees created for this purpose, to avoid any act of corruption.
“In Sinaloa, in the case of La Clínica es Nuestra, which is also an essential issue of democracy, that it is considered that the people are the ones that matter, that they manage the resource and also avoid bureaucracy in this very important issue, such as It is health. It will be the committees, we have 316 committees, so that people know that we are not announcing something that is going to come in the long future, but rather a very short future. Between now and Saturday we are going to deliver all the support,” he said.
He explained that these 316 committees represent 215 Health Centers of a clinic, which will receive up to 400 thousand pesos from now on; 49 Health Centers with two offices, which will receive up to 600 thousand pesos; 31 Health Centers with 3 to 5 offices, which will receive up to 800 thousand pesos; 20 Health Centers, with 6 offices or more, that will receive up to 1 million pesos and, finally, 7 Health Centers with expanded services, such as the cases of Culiacán and Los Mochis who will receive up to 1 million 200 thousand pesos.
“How much are we going to receive in Sinaloa For this concept? What is the benefit for health centers? There are 161 million 400 thousand pesos. This is easy to say, remember and I want to make a special mention, regarding the nature of our president, around 6 billion pesos are going to be distributed in the country. They are at it right now, distributing themselves, why are we doing it four days after the elections? because our president is a statesman, the president does not work for the next election, he works for the future of his people and that is what makes us not want to deliver benefits for electoral purposes,” he said.
On the other hand, Governor Rocha took the opportunity to thank President López Obrador for his support for the equipment of hemodialysis machines in the general hospitals of Culiacán, Los Mochis Mazatlán and Guasave, also for the acquisition of linear accelerators for radiotherapy treatments in cancer patients, and the start-up of the new Culiacán General Hospital in the first phase.
Once the link with the morning conference from the National Palace was concluded, the state president continued with the delivery of the Banco del Bienestar cards to the treasurers of the Health and Welfare Committees of the 316 Health Centers, and also handed out the first Cards of the IMSS Wellbeing Program, through which citizens are guaranteed access to health services free of charge in any health institution in the State.
Governor Rocha was accompanied at these two events by the Secretary of Health, Cuitláhuac González Galindo; the presidential commissioner for the La Clínica es Nuestras Program, Javier Guerrero Garcia; the delegate of the Wellbeing Programs in Sinaloa, Ángel Ulises Piña García; the state coordinator of the IMSS Wellbeing Program, Julio César Quintero Ledesma; the IMSS representative in Sinaloa, Tania Clarissa Medina López; and the director of the Culiacán Health Center, Rafael Castro Velázquez.
