Electoral Court will resolve 283 disagreement lawsuits to validate presidential election

The Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF) must resolve 283 lawsuits of disagreement and a Citizens’ Trial to qualify the presidential election and be able to declare it valid.

On Friday night, the receipt of the district count files with the minutes of the presidential election concluded, in order to advance in the final count and the eventual declaration of validity, within the framework of the Federal Electoral Process (PEF) 2023- 2024.

In a bulletin, the Court reported that it will safeguard, together with elements of the Secretariat of National Defense, the 300 district count records, “which will remain in a vault equipped for archiving and protection in the facilities of the Superior Chamber so that, in If so required, they are consulted by the staff of the magistrates in order to resolve the challenges that have been presented.”

The delivery of files began on June 17 when around 60 records per day began to arrive, coming from the 32 entities, which were processed by the INE since last June 2.

These documents contain information related to the number of voters who voted at the polling station, as well as the votes cast in favor of each of the political parties or candidates, null votes and leftover ballots from each election.

Regarding the Nonconformity Trials (JIN), the TEPJF reported that it must resolve 283, in addition to a citizen trial, which were assigned to the different presentations.

In such a way that that of magistrate Felipe de la Mata Pizaña will attend 56; Felipe Fuentes Barrera 60; Janine Otálora Malassis 54; The presiding magistrate Mónica Soto Fregoso is 57 and a special commission will receive two JINs and the citizen trial.

INE delivers eight lawsuits against the presidential election to the Electoral Court

On June 20, the National Electoral Institute (INE) delivered to the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF) eight lawsuits related to the presidential election, among which is the one processed by former candidate Xóchitl Gálvez, as well as the detailed reports in which the constitutionality and legality of the elections are accredited.

In a statement, the INE detailed that five Judgments were delivered for the Protection of the Political-Electoral Rights of Citizens (JDC). One of them was presented by Xóchitl Gálvez a week ago and four others are from citizens.

Added to these are three trials for non-conformity: one from the PRI, another from the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition and one more from the citizen, Enriqueta Flores.

Regarding the one filed by Xóchitl Gálvez on June 13, the reasons are the permanent intervention of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador during the electoral process; the use of social programs to benefit the candidates of the ruling coalition, as well as the interference of organized crime in large territories of the Republic.

Gálvez Ruiz hopes that the Electoral Court will reprimand the president.

That same day, representatives of the PAN and PRD filed a lawsuit before the INE, with which they challenged the result of the presidential elections for serious violations of the principle of equity, derived from the interference of the president throughout the 2023-2024 electoral process. .
