Baja California approves gender identity change on birth certificates for minors – Publimetro México

 

He Congress of the State of Baja California approved a reform in its civil code that It allows to minors accompanied by the father, mother or guardian, change sex-gender assignment in their birth certificates. Baja California becomes the sixth federal entity to approve this reform in its Civil Code.

In an ordinary session of the Plenary of the Congress of the State of Baja California, the Gender Equality and Youth Commission chaired by the deputy Liliana Michel Sanchez presented the opinion n Number 43, corresponding to the initiative to reform various articles of the Civil Code, Which was approved by majority.
