Mazatlán registers 3.6 billion pesos of investment in CEPROFIES so far in 2024

From January to June 2024, the municipality of Mazatlán has registered a private investment of 3,646.4 million pesos, which are related to those projects benefited with Tax Promotion Certificates of the State of Sinaloa (CEPROFIES), as reported by Jesús Rigel Sánchez Garzón.

The head of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries in Mazatlán specified that a total of 16 projects have been authorized with this benefit, only in the first half of this year, in which projects related to the real estate, tourism, shopping malls and subdivisions sectors stand out.

“So far in this first half of the year, we have registered a total of 16 projects, which were approved by the Fiscal Incentives Review Commission of the State of Sinaloa. In total, these 16 projects represent an investment of 3,626.4 million pesos. One of the commitments of the current Municipal Government of Mazatlán is to continue promoting these projects that generate jobs,” said Sánchez Garzón.

He pointed out that of the 16 projects, 8 are apartment towers and/or condominiums related to the real estate-tourism sector; 5 are subdivisions; 2 are shopping malls and one is a golf course.

Finally, the head of Sedectur explained that this figure does not represent the total private investment that the port of Mazatlán has received, since from January to June of this year an investment of 5,358 million pesos has been recorded, which includes those works that were granted a CEPROFIES.
