MAZATLÁN.- This Tuesday afternoon, the presentation of the Chevron 2024 Mazatlán Pacific Great Marathon and Triathlon was held in grand style. It will take place from November 29 to December 1. The athletic event was held at the Museum of Art and was led by state and municipal sports authorities, sponsors and senior officials of the Venados de Mazatlán Club.
This is one of the most important and traditional events in the sporting field of the destination, which also promises a significant economic impact for the tourism sector, reaffirming its commitment to the success of these projects.
The conference was chaired by José Antonio Toledo Ortiz, CEO of Grupo Venados; Ismael Barros Cebreros, president of Club Venados; Julio Cascajares, director of ISDE; and Fabiola Verde, director of IMDEM.
The athletics festival expects the participation of nine thousand competitors in the twenty-third edition of the foot race and the twentieth of the triathlon, with the aim of promoting a great sporting and tourist activity.
“The estimated economic impact is around 150 million pesos, and there will also be baseball,” said Barros Cebreros.
The presentation was also attended by Alejandra Osuna, director of tourism promotion at Sedectur; Luis Ontiveros, marketing director of Grupo Chevron; and Melecio Angulo, president of athletics.
