The Federal electricity commission (CFE) reported losses of 74 thousand 821.5 million pesos in the first half of the year.
The result contrasts with the profits that the state-owned company reported in the same period in 2023.
In the second quarter alone, the losses of the company led by Manuel Bartlett Diaz were close to the 76 thousand 691 million pesos which erased the gains from the first period of the year.
This is the worst result for the CFE in more than two years, due to the exchange rate loss attributed to scenarios of volatility in the foreign exchange market.
