-Mayor Edgar Gonzalez Zatarain Announces Advanced Preparations for September 15 Event-
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- More than a month away from September 15, Mazatlán City Hall is already in the final preparations for what promises to be a spectacular celebration of Independence Day. The event will feature artists and surprises to delight the thousands of attendees expected in the Plaza de la República, the traditional heart of this festivity in the city.
Mayor Edgar Gonzalez Zatarain, in a recent announcement, expressed his enthusiasm for the organization of this event: “If we are going to have a big event with enthusiasm, it will be an event well worthy of the holiday that obviously all Mexicans commemorate and above all because the people of Mazatlán like it and come, despite the fact that it is a very hot day, people go.” Although the cast that will participate has not yet been fully defined, the city council assures that the program will be varied and of high quality, designed to satisfy all tastes.
This year is particularly significant, as it will mark the last Grito de Independencia presided over by González Zatarain before the transition to the new administration in October. This circumstance adds an additional emotional element to the preparations, as the mayor hopes to leave a lasting impression in his last official participation in this traditional celebration.
Preparations are being made in advance to avoid any last-minute setbacks, ensuring that both locals and tourists can enjoy an unforgettable celebration. “We are working ahead of time to ensure that everything goes perfectly and that it will be a memorable night for all attendees,” added González Zatarain.
Despite the high temperatures typical of September in Mazatlán, the enthusiasm of families and participants is not diminished. The Grito de Independencia is an event that unites all Mexicans in a spirit of celebration and national pride, and this year will be no exception.
