MAZATLÁN._ The city of Mazatlán became the venue for the National Forum for the Professionalization of Rehabilitation Centers between government agencies and institutions, where through several presentations the importance of preparation in the care of addictions and mental health was established among the attendees.
Before starting the day, in front of hundreds of attendees including authorities, health specialists, counselors, managers of rehabilitation centers and their users, during the statement of reasons the president of “A Movement for Sinaloa Without Addictions AC” and representative of the “Union of Networks Against Addictions of Sinaloa AC” (Urcas), Guillermo Rodríguez Gaxiola, welcomed the presidium and the public, mainly the users in treatment.
“Special mention should be made of all the directors, doctors, and counselors of the rehabilitation centers. I would especially like to mention our guests of honor, our patients undergoing treatment. Thank you all for trusting us with your health. We are here for you, we are going to train ourselves, we are going to update ourselves, we are going to become more professional,” said Rodríguez Gaxiola.
The president of the Rehabilita Network Sinaloa Víctor Manuel Capaceta Emus, expressed that in his previous meeting in México City he perceived a lot of love in the group of people who fulfill the responsibility of giving support and accompaniment to those who suffer from an addiction and that is what he wished to convey in this forum.
“In México I perceived a lot of love at that meeting and that is what I brought with me Sinaloa and I believe that we can know all the theories, master all the techniques, without abandoning love. Love for the person who is suffering,” said Capaceta Emus.
For his part, Mayor Edgar González Zataráin recognized the hard work carried out by the 64 certified Rehabilitation Centers in Mazatlán, which in some way even assume a responsibility that should be the responsibility of the Government, in addition to collaborating to keep the security situation in the city under control.
“What would happen, what kind of society would we have without the support of the Rehabilitation Centers? How would crime be? We have to say it like this, without fear, as Victor said. What would happen without the support that you provide to society, that you provide to the Government and that you do, to a large extent, the work of the Government, because you do it,” said the Mayor.
“And they do it without the Government’s resources, they do it with their own will, but they do it with something greater that not even the Government has on many occasions, with their heart, because there are many ways to serve, some are obligatory because it is your position, it is your job, because it is your work, it is your position that you had as an employment and there are others that are sought from within, regardless of what you have as an economic result or what you have as an incentive,” he added.
Present at the event were Juan Manuel Quijada Gaytán, head of the National Commission for Mental Health and Addictions; Víctor Manuel Capaceta Emus, president of the Rehabilitation Network Sinaloa; Guillermo Rodríguez Gaxiola, president of the Civil Association “A movement for Sinaloa “No Additions”; Mayor Edgar González Zataráin; as well as distinguished authorities and special guests.
