MAZATLÁN.- Mazatlán taekwondo athlete Nery Frías Mozo stood out at the Pan American Taekwondo Championship, held in Querétaro from July 25 to 28, by winning a silver medal in the trios competition.
This achievement is not only a personal milestone for Frías, but also a historic event, as he is the first Sinaloa native called up to represent México in this prestigious international tournament.

Before participating in the Pan American Championship, Frías had stood out in the National Poomsae Championship in Chihuahua.
To show her gratitude for the support received, Nery Frías made a courtesy visit to the Mazatlán Municipal Sports Institute and its director Fabiola Verde Rosas.
He was accompanied by his coach, Lionzo Rodríguez Espinoza, and Juan Manuel Ortega Teutle, president of the Municipal Taekwondo Committee.
