Mazatleco Nery Frías Mozo wins silver at Pan American Taekwondo Championship

MAZATLÁN.- Mazatlán taekwondo athlete Nery Frías Mozo stood out at the Pan American Taekwondo Championship, held in Querétaro from July 25 to 28, by winning a silver medal in the trios competition.

This achievement is not only a personal milestone for Frías, but also a historic event, as he is the first Sinaloa native called up to represent México in this prestigious international tournament.

His performance left a significant mark, giving him renewed confidence and enthusiasm for future challenges.

Before participating in the Pan American Championship, Frías had stood out in the National Poomsae Championship in Chihuahua.

To show her gratitude for the support received, Nery Frías made a courtesy visit to the Mazatlán Municipal Sports Institute and its director Fabiola Verde Rosas.

He was accompanied by his coach, Lionzo Rodríguez Espinoza, and Juan Manuel Ortega Teutle, president of the Municipal Taekwondo Committee.

A look into the future

Looking to the future, Nery Frías has several important challenges on his agenda. The next one is the World Taekwondo Qualifiers, which will be held in Villahermosa, Tabasco, from August 24 to 26.

This event is crucial for Frías, as it offers him the opportunity to secure his participation in the world championship.

In addition, the taekwondo athlete will participate in the G10 event in Aguascalientes in September, where he will compete against some of the best talents in the world.
