MAZATLÁN.- The doors of the National Palace opened for the President of the Republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador, AMLO, to recognize Olympic and Paralympic medalists who participated in the Paris 2024 Games.
Among the recognized athletes were the Sinaloa parathletes Rosa María Guerrero and Juan Diego García, along with boxer Marco Alonso Verde and his trainer Radamés Hernández.

Everyone participated in the ceremony at the National Palace, where economic incentives were handed out.
During the event, which was attended by Ana Gabriela Guevara, director of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (Conade), the president stressed the importance of continuing to support sport.
Although his administration is about to end, he assured that he will continue to pay close attention to the medalists’ race.
“I’m going to watch sports, I’m going to keep an eye on everything you’re going to continue doing, always keeping the name of our beloved México high,” López Obrador said.
Radamés Hernández, Marco Alonso Verde’s coach, was in charge of receiving the encouragement on behalf of all the coaches who worked with the medalists in Paris 2024.
“It is very gratifying, given everything we have been through, to receive this recognition from the President. It motivates us to continue working with more enthusiasm,” said Hernández.
Among the winners were Marco Alonso Verde, who won the silver medal in boxing in the 71 kilogram category, and parathletes Rosa María Guerrero bronze winner in discus throw, and Juan Diego García, also bronze in para taekwondo.

The gold medalists received 3 million pesos, the silver medalists 2 million, and the bronze medalists 1 million.
In addition, athletes who participated in the games, even if they did not win a medal, received a 240 thousand pesos incentive. In total, the government distributed 78 million pesos in incentives.
