CULIACAN, SINALOA.- “El Piyi”, an important “Los Chapitos” member, was arrested in the state capital.
On Thursday, September 19th, the arrest of Mario Alexander “El Piyi”, a high-ranking member of the criminal group “Los Chapitos” was reported.
Who was also a member of the “Los Ninis” cell of the Sinaloa Cartel, was arrested after an air and land operation by the Special Forces along with six other people.
The capture occurred on September 17, in the Santa Fe neighborhood, north of the city of Culiacán Sinaloa, where elements of the army and the National Guard arrested the alleged member of the Sinaloa Cartel.
According to the arrest record, revealed by the federal Security Secretariat, the arrest occurred around 6:10 p.m. The arrest of a thin man with, a white complexion, approximately 1.75 meters tall, wearing a black shirt and brown pants is reported. Mario Alexander, ‘El Piyi’, was transferred to México City.“El Piyi” is a character mentioned in several narcocorridos, the most popular being the song “Siempre Pendientes” by Peso Pluma, where he is referred to as the head of security for the Sinaloa Cartel.
