CULIACÁN._ Due to the situation of violence, different areas of Sinaloa They began to suffer from shortages of supplies, so the civil organization Banco de Alimentos de Culiacán, together with the State Government, brought 500 food packages to help the community of Baila.
According to the director of the Culiacán Food Bank, Daniel Tapia Sánchez, the State Government’s Secretariat of Administration and Finance is involved in this strategy.
“The idea is to benefit the communities that are currently being affected by the situation, mainly communities that have been facing shortages; so, the Administration Department made us a significant donation of food and we complemented it with food that we already had and we delivered some food packages right now in the Baila municipality,” he said.
“We delivered 500 food packages there, 500 families benefited today and the idea is to benefit more families again in the coming days, because we are working as a team with the State Government.”
The activist said that a food drive was started last weekend in anticipation of the possibility of starting this event.
The goal is to deliver food supplies to hundreds of families in the coming days.
“We will surely go to other communities, such as the municipality of El Salado, there in Eldorado. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, we will benefit about 4 thousand families in the next few days, we will gradually communicate this support,” he said.
In the coming days, he said, they will receive more donations from the Department of Administration and Finance to continue providing assistance.
