*It will be there until 8 pm in the Plazuela República *It is sought that it be permanently installed in the Cathedral In the framework of the International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearance, the first Peace Box was installed this Friday, with the purpose that people leave prayers, words of encouragement and messages that guide the relatives to find their missing persons. Alejandra Martínez Carrizales, spokesperson for the Collective For Voices Without Justice and who has been searching for her brother Ismael Martínez since July 2020, shared that the Peace Box will be located until 8 at night in the Plazuela República, however, it is sought that it be permanently installed in the Cathedral, as well as in different churches in the city. “We hope to receive prayers, clues, a map, a sketch, whatever you want to put in the mailbox, we are only going to read it ourselves, it is for that, so that you help us, so that you send us messages of encouragement, of hope, we are going to read it all in a group and we will all know what you want to tell us or if you have information on where we can locate our missing persons,” she mentioned. The Collective For Voices Without Justice will publish through its social networks the places where the mailbox will be permanently located, as they will request this from the Bishop. Likewise, it called on citizens to help make the search cards visible, as well as to respect those placed in different places in Mazatlán. In addition, to culminate the commemoration, a mass was held at the Basilica Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, where the relatives, among prayers and praises, prayed to find the whereabouts of their missing persons.
