Culiacán-Mazatlán Maxipista is blocked again by armed civilians

The Culiacán-Mazatlán Maxipista was once again blocked by armed civilians who crossed and set fire to a trailer near the municipality of Elota, so elements of the National Guard and state police are working to remove the units that obstruct circulation.

The State Public Security Secretariat reported that in the same area, on a road that leads to the community of Potrerillos del Norote, in the same municipality, there is another blockade, so work is being done to free that point.

The data known so far is that dozens of cargo trucks and passenger buses are stranded in both directions of the Culiacán-Mazatlán Maxipista, due to the new blockages that have occurred on this land route.

Last Friday, this same road had to be partially closed because unidentified civilians threw steel spikes at the asphalt surface that damaged the tires of buses, private vehicles and two official National Guard vans.
