MAZATLÁN._ Mayor Edgar González Zataráin assured that the security situation in Sinaloa It must improve and in this work not only is the government involved, citizens also have an important role in creating a climate of peace in a society that does not worship violence and organized crime.
According to a statement, González Zataráin assured that the Governor of Sinaloa Rubén Rocha Moya has done an excellent job addressing the causes of social problems in direct contact with the people of Sinaloa.
He pointed out that an example of this is the resource that the state invests in expanding the coverage of programs to benefit sectors such as the disabled population and fishermen, which are universal in Sinaloa.
“Excellent work, he has had a lot of contact, especially regarding the work that a ruler has to do and he has been doing it just like the President of the Republic, addressing the causes, addressing the fundamental social problems,” he said.
The Mayor of Mazatlán added that, while it is true that Culiacán is experiencing critical moments in terms of security, this situation has not spread to the entire state as it has happened in other periods. However, currently, exposure and abuse on social networks can disorient the population.
“This crisis will pass and we must bet on it and hope that it will pass, not hope for the opposite (…) many who use social media do so to distort things, you can witness many notes that are published without any basis,” he said.
