MAZATLÁN.- The Regional Livestock Union of Sinaloa chaired by Faustino Hernández Álvarez, is intensifying efforts to improve livestock infrastructure in the region, a key step to strengthen this fundamental sector in the local economy.
He stressed that the UGRS is complying with the agreements established with the municipalities of Culiacán and Ahome, with the aim of rehabilitating and constructing watering troughs that are essential for supplying water to livestock farmers.
In Culiacán, the construction of five reservoirs is expected to be completed, as part of an agreement that includes a total of 45. These reservoirs are vital to ensure access to water, especially during dry seasons.
In Ahome, six dams will be completed as part of a 13-dam agreement, reflecting the UGRS’ commitment to the sustainable development of the livestock sector.
The president of the UGRS highlighted the importance of these actions for the well-being of local producers, who depend on adequate access to water. He also underlined the collaboration of the governor of Sinaloa who has provided strong support to the livestock sector, facilitating the implementation of these projects.
