‘Chapitos’ chemist arrested in Spain

 

The Spanish Police reported that they arrested 16 people, including a chemist belonging to the Cartel of Sinaloa and that he worked for the “Chapitos” in the municipality of Toledo.

According to the authorities of that country, the chemical traveled from México to try to expand their influences in Spain.

Agents dismantled two drug production laboratories, one for methamphetamine and another for cocaine.

They also seized 125 kilos of cocaine base, more than six kilos of methamphetamine, almost 31 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, 7,500 liters of precursors and more than 21 thousand euros in the eight registrations made.

A statement from the National Police indicates that the investigation began last July when agents became aware of the “existence of a possible drug trafficking point in a home located in the Toledo municipality of Yuncos.”

“After several efforts, investigators verified the unusual movement of people and vehicles, expanding surveillance around that place ”indicated the display.

“After various investigations, the agents expanded the objectives and identified the different members of the organization. It was especially difficult to locate the laboratories, due to their isolated locations and the security measures taken by those investigated.”.
