Mazatlán.- With the arrival of winter, traditional sawfishing began in Playa Norte, bringing important benefits to local fishermen, reporting significant catches of this fish with high demand in November and December for events in the city.
Martín Lizárraga Osuna, representative of the fishermen of Playa Norte, reported that the current catches are favorable and highlighted the good price of the product in the market.
“Now mountains are coming out, a lot of guano, peaks and hail. They buy saws for 50 pesos per kilo, and we get between 20 and 50 kilos per day. “Things look very good,” he explained.
