Mazatlán.- The “Revolutionary Bridge” started successfully in Mazatlán, driven by the Buen Fin and a notable increase in tourist flow, generating an important economic impact in various cities of Sinaloa reported Ricardo Velarde, head of the Ministry of Tourism.
During the inauguration of El Debate’s “Big Fish” tournament, Velarde highlighted the relevance of this type of event, which not only stimulates the local economy and hotel occupancy, but also strengthens tourism promotion in the state.
With a prize pool of more than 1.2 million pesos, the tournament attracted more than two thousand diners, exceeding the 1,500 from the previous year.
“Sport fishing in this city is of utmost importance to promote the tourist movement, taking into account that fishermen from Alaska, the United States and different states of the Mexican Republic participate; This edition will have more than 200 participants divided into 38 teams,” he noted.
On the other hand, the 39th edition of the Expo Feria Canaco 2024 began in Mazatlán, which will take place until December 15 in the Sam’s parking lot. This event expects to receive more than 100 thousand visitors and promises to be an engine for the reactivation of local commerce, according to Alejandra Osuna Granados, director of Tourism Promotion.
