Authorities refine details for the Great Pacific Marathon, in Mazatlán

 

Mazatlán.– Authorities from the three levels of Government and Municipal and State Civil Protection, as well as various emergency bodies, met with directors of the Club Venados de Mazatlán, to refine the details of what will be the greatest sporting event on the shore of the sea, the Pacific Marathon.

The objective of the meeting, which took place at the facilities of the Teodoro Mariscal Stadium, was to know the state of force that will be added to protect the participants before, during and after the marathon, which will take place on December 29. November to December 1, starting on Friday with the sports expo, giving way to the triathlon, botargas race and on Saturday the light show.

On Sunday, December 1, there will be the maximum competition of 41 and 21 kilometers, so it will be necessary to close some important roads in the city, a measure that will be taken starting Saturday, November 30 at night, for the assembly of temples. and road liberation.

Among the roads that will have a pause in traffic for the development of the event, are Avenida Leonismo Internacional, Reforma, Avenida del Mar to Paseo Claussen, Rafael Buelna, for Saturday and Sunday, extending through Camarón Sábalo and Sábalo Cerritos for the race. 41 and 21 kilometers. Regarding the opening of roads, it is expected to be gradual once the fair concludes.

The purpose of these meetings is to form a single preventive and security strategy in which the three levels of government and the emergency bodies participate.
